Our client, a prominent commercial real estate investment and development firm, is seeking a highly experienced Asset Manager to run all asset management functions as it relates to their commercial real estate portfolio.

This role will be primarily responsible for the management of a diverse portfolio of commercial, primarily office, properties.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee a diverse, growing portfolio of over 4 million square feet utilizing property managers, leasing managers, construction project managers, legal counsel and consultants.
• Help establish and implement strategic plans for each asset.
• Define objectives and execute investment strategy for each asset including leasing, operations, and capital improvements.
• Review, approve and implement operating budgets.
• Conduct quarterly internal asset valuations for all properties.
• Ongoing interaction with the Acquisitions team to ensure that asset investment strategy is consistently maintained.
• Coordinate Leasing, Construction and Property management activities to achieve property objectives.
• Interaction with the Accounting department to ensure accurate reporting, timely data production and audit support.

Qualifications:

Required:

• • BA or BS degree
• Minimum of 5 years as a real estate Asset Manager.
• Minimum of 10 years relevant real estate experience.
• Extensive experience in commercial office leasing.
• Strong real estate analytical, valuation and underwriting skills including a thorough knowledge of Argus and Excel software.
• Solid understanding of property-level accounting and performance.
• Proven experience coordinating construction projects including tenant improvements, building improvements and other capital projects.
• Attention to detail with excellent oral and written communication, presentation and organizational skills.
• Must be a team player willing to coach and mentor junior level staff members.
• Additionally, Travel may be required.

Preferred:

• Experience with Joint Ventures, development, redevelopment and other value-add projects a plus.
• Experience with debt investments and debt management a plus.
• MBA or advanced degree.
