JOB DESCRIPTION

The Vice President is responsible for managing one or more funds or separate accounts, acting as the primary interface
with Investors, and maximizing the return of the portfolio while minimizing the risk.

• Portfolio investment strategy, risk management, and business plan
• Investment analysis and selection for portfolio, working closely with acquisition professionals
• Investment management and disposition strategy, including hold/sell analysis
• Client relationship management and communication
• Oversee asset management and business plan execution
• Interface with property management and other internal departments
• Joint venture partner relationship management and communication
• Partnership agreement compliance
• Cash management- capital calls/distributions
• Financing strategy for portfolio and properties
• Marketing/capital raising 
• Internal/Investor reporting
• Manage and develop Portfolio Management staff
• Travel- about 25%-35%

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. MBA, related Master’s degree
• Excellent computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Yardi (helpful)
• 10+ years of experience in portfolio management, acquisitions or asset management, with portfolio manager
   experience preferred
• Seasoned real estate professional with comprehensive knowledge of residential sector
• Excellent understanding of all aspects of the value creation process including acquisition, financing,
   rehabilitation, property management, market research, investment analysis, and property disposition
• Superior interpersonal, leadership, and management skills
• Ability to perform, review, and direct team in the proper analysis needed, including new analyses
• Ability to identify problems early and to solve them effectively
• Ability to identify value creation opportunities and the ability to act on them through orders
• Ability to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships with a range of individuals
• An ability to set direction with input from multiple sources while effectively managing multiple, changing
   priorities
• Ability to assess and quantify risk
