Senior Investment Analyst

Greater Boston Area


The Senior Investment Analyst will be responsible for providing analytic and transactional support in the acquisition and asset management of real estate investments, including underwriting, due diligence, financing, lease analysis and annual budgets. Ideally, this individual will have prior exposure to varied products, including a focus within office and industrial.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and manage financial pro-forma analyses and budgets for core through value-add acquisitions of industrial and office properties/portfolios
  • Responsible for financial modeling, including but not limited to, building and analyzing cash flow proformas, debt/equity capital structures, investor waterfalls, and return sensitivity analyses
  • Work with the acquisition team to prepare analysis, conclusions, transaction memorandums and recommendations for each deal for Real Estate Committee approval
  • Perform due diligence on all acquisitions, including but not limited to, coordinating third party vendors, research property markets, review of past property/market performance, lease audits, and lender requirements
  • Assemble all transaction and client presentations with the marketing team
  • Manage all financial models throughout project lifecycle, including acquisition, asset management, and disposition
  • Review portfolio of existing office and industrial assets. Maintain Argus models and Excel proformas, provide financial analysis to asset management, leasing and property management teams for on-going management of assets, and participate in annual budget process
  • Other projects and duties as assigned

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college/university required; Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience in financial modeling, valuations, underwriting, due diligence and closing analysis in a real estate investment or brokerage firm
  • Highly proficient in Argus and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Extremely organized with ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
  • Team player with ability to work with multiple internal groups
  • Occasional domestic travel required
