Position Description:

The client is currently seeking a full-time, experienced investor relations professional to join its Miami, FL, or New York, NY, team. This is a client-facing, investor relations role that will report directly to the Managing Director of Capital Markets. The candidate must be success-driven, have a marketing and design background, remain cognizant of investor needs and have relative knowledge of the industry and key stakeholders. 

The professional will be primarily responsible for supporting senior leadership with the firm’s fundraising initiatives and communications with global investors, prospects, and consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior management and capital raising team in the research and prioritization of potential investors
  • Maintain and continually update prospect lists
  • Prepare follow-up items with prospects or investors, including thank-you notes and any follow-up materials requested
  • Develop competitor information and prospect pipelines
  • Gain a deep understanding of each investor’s past and current investments, and be cognizant of investor needs regarding capital calls and distributions
  • Participate in pipeline and client update meetings with the senior management teams
  • Assist with content needed for annual investor meetings, LPAC meetings, and other LP events
  • Assist in developing marketing and fundraising materials, including pitch books, campaign teasers, and offering memorandum
  • Handling routine investor relations duties including quarterly consultant database  reporting/consultant requests, qualitative content for quarterly investor letters, due diligence and operational due diligence requests (i.e., DDQs and ODD completion for LP prospects)
  • Assist with all external marketing efforts for prospects
  • Coordinate sales presentations with the investment and senior management teams
  • Assist with investor communication content and cadence
  • Understand portfolio management decisions, know the various products, and keep updated on high-priority pipeline deals
  • Contribute to ongoing outreach with investors by answering questions, drafting responses, and communicating investor sentiment with senior management
  • Manage the onboarding and subscription process for all new investors
  • Attend virtual and actual roadshows and networking events and facilitate meetings with prospectors
  • Record meeting notes during investor calls and coordinate follow-up materials for distribution to investors following each meeting/call
  • Keep abreast of market conditions, industry news, and legal issues with the mindset to turn data into consumable information through investor marketing material
  • Work with senior management to develop a marketing plan and pipeline of potential investors
  • Assist team with speaking engagement scheduling, whitepaper development, social media, and other marketing strategies
  • Assist with administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of bachelor's degree with 2-3 years of relevant experience in investor relations
  • Investor Relations experience in Financial Services/Real Estate preferred
  • Investor oriented mindset with confidence in interaction with senior stakeholders
  • Demonstrated proficiency in anticipating requests/needs
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Ability to thrive on working cross-functionally
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to effectively maintain databases, keep accurate to-do lists and follow up with all investor requests
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, writing and research skills
  • Exceptional attention-to-detail
  • Ability to understand economic data/trends and formulate clear messaging around results
  • Familiarity with CRM systems
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (including Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Adobe Pro to edit and design PDFs
  • Ability to travel as required
