Company Overview:
Our client is the premier anaerobic digester developer/owner/operator in the United States. Their closed-loop anaerobic digestion process converts organic waste and cow manure into green electricity or renewable natural gas as well as other related “value-added” products. They are headquartered in MA, funded by institutional capital partners, and currently, have 20+ projects operating and in development in over 13 states.
The firm is seeking a Development Manager to be a leader in several states or metropolitan areas executing projects from siting through to construction completion.
Responsibilities:
● Manage all development of assigned projects and related functions and activities
● Support, mentor and manage assigned Development Associate(s)
● Negotiate definitive agreements and other project related contracts
● Ensure project activities comply with company and contract requirements
● Oversight of day-to-day permitting, design and due diligence
● Maintain consistent communication with clients and effectively manage multiple vendors simultaneously
● Manage all due diligence requirements including preliminary engineering, manure sampling, operating costs, geotech reports, environmental reports, surveys, etc.
● Develop, implement and administer project procedures, budgets and other work controlling documents, including designs, submittals, and schedules
● Represent company, project and/or department during investor, client and project management meetings
● Maintain development models for each project, including sources & uses of capital and profit & loss projections
● Interface with all company departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of engineering and construction, etc. in support of overall project schedule including coordination of field scheduling
● Serve as a mentor to Analysts and Development Associates
● Other duties as may be required and frequent travel is required

Skills and Qualifications:
● BA/BS degree required
● 5-10 years’ experience in a real estate or related field
● Ability to travel 50% or more of the time
Preferred Qualifications:
● Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills
● Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
● Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
● Self motivated
● Strong experience in design, engineering, permitting, financial analysis and project management preferred
● Experience planning, organizing and coordinating multiple projects at the same time
