Our client is a leading, privately held commercial real estate company that specializes in the development of multifamily, mixed-use and student housing projects across the United States. Founded in 1999, the firm has developed over 7 million square feet of improvements representing over $3 billion of asset value. The company also manages a newly formed equity fund that invests in projects alongside its institutional capital partners. Our client is headquartered in suburban Philadelphia, with regional offices in Atlanta and Hanover.
The individual will enhance the Company’s development capacity in the Northeast and Southeast US. This person will be involved in every stage of the development cycle for market rate multi-family housing and student housing projects.
The initial procurement stages for multi-family transactions include financial analysis and due diligence of land acquisitions being considered for development. For on-campus student housing opportunities, initial procurement often includes responding to RFPs by colleges & universities for the development of needed residential halls and other auxiliary uses for our client’s long-term ownership and management.
After successful project procurement, this individual’s responsibilities will include refinement of financial underwriting and managing the development process (e.g., assembling project design/engineering teams, programming, design coordination, entitlements, construction activities, and working closely with the client’s asset management team). Projects will typically be ground-up or redevelopment opportunities in urban or suburban communities of growth.
