Marketing Specialist

Needham, MA

JOB DESCRIPTION

The position of Marketing Specialist will report to the CEO and will be responsible for developing, implementing and supporting innovative strategies designed to: recruit, retain, and engage members; clearly communicate the value of our clients membership – including the organization’s advocacy work; promote programs and educational courses; and ensure consistent branding and fresh design.

  Marketing

·         Oversee development and maintenance of Chapter website and blog.

·         Coordinate design and distribution of all print and digital communications, including but not limited to online and print advertisements, annual reports, email campaigns, and event related collateral.

·         Assist with event day preparation and execution.

·         Draft public facing communications, including event descriptions, website content, committee and member outreach.

·         Support the general press and media strategy of the organization through drafting content, proposing outreach and maintaining existing press lists.

·         Ensure that all our clients communications accurately reflect the mission of the organization.

·         Work with team to support strategies promoting our client and member successes across multiple media platforms.

 
 Membership
·         Create and implement member recruitment and retention campaigns to achieve sustained growth.

·         Produce effective member recruitment and collateral materials.

·         Develop and direct the new member welcome process, including welcome emails and onboarding strategies.

·         Serve as point person for connecting members with committees, answering questions, and ensuring continued member engagement.

·         Manage surveys and outreach to acquire in-depth information on member companies to improve member benefits and services.

·         Monitor membership information and analytics. Use data to shape marketing and membership strategies.

Our client’s chapter of the Commercial Real Estate Development Association, represents the interests of companies involved with the development, ownership, management, and financing of commercial properties. Our client’s members are involved with office, research & development, industrial, mixed use, residential, multifamily, retail, and institutional space in the Commonwealth. Part of an international commercial real estate association, the Massachusetts chapter provides outstanding education and networking opportunities. In addition, our client advances the interests of the industry and advocates for effective public policy.

QUALIFICATIONS

·         Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively.

·         Acute attention to detail required.

·         Experience with member, board or stakeholder management strongly preferred.

·         Effective communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills required.

·         Exceptional customer service

·         Ability to work independently and as part of a broader team

·         Ability to interact with a variety of individuals

·         Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, Adobe Creative, InDesign, Wordpress, Constant Contact, and similar platforms – portfolios welcome

·         Experience with GrowthZone platform or similar database management software preferred

·         A minimum of 3 years of related work experience is required, including experience with implementing communications strategy, graphic design, and marketing expertise.
