POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Corporate Real Estate Manager is responsible for developing and managing the real estate portfolio strategy that aligns with the organization’s business needs and maximizes the company’s real estate investments. This includes managing the firm’s lease negotiations, lease renewals, and terminations. This role will interface with executive leadership, operations, finance, legal counsel, and third parties to ensure the real estate portfolio is optimized. The Corporate Real Estate Manager is responsible for clearly defining and communicating recommendations to the business based on the organization’s needs and market trends. The successful candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Portfolio Strategy:
- Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance strategic portfolio planning and real estate by actively collaborating with real estate partners, business leaders, finance, and other related functions, and leading all real estate aspects
- Proactively identify strategies to optimize real estate portfolio and implement strategies to maximize real estate investments
- Prepare and present reports to executive leadership
Lease Administration:
- Manage and oversee lease administration
- Review numerous lease documents and abstract critical terms and clauses, including rent schedules, renewal options, and key dates
- Negotiate, prepare, and modify real estate leases and other real estate contracts and documents such as renewals
Occupancy Planning:
- Support occupancy planning and identify areas for opportunity
- Evaluate real estate opportunities and make recommendations to the business
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to ensure alignment in real estate decisions and support business objectives
- Responsible for site selection and negotiation of lease terms for new and existing manufacturing facilities
Transaction Management:
- Research and analyze existing and prospective markets
- Manage real estate asset acquisition and disposition process
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in real estate, finance, or business administration
- A minimum of 10 years experience in real estate or a similar role
- Experience in negotiating contracts and determining rental rates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Superior abilities in negotiation, preparation, and modification of property leases, purchase and sales agreements, and other real estate contracts and documents
- Ability to travel
