Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Property Manager to join a team overseeing a portfolio of Long Island City (LIC) residential rental properties.
Responsibilities:
As a Property Manager, this person will be responsible for managing all building operations. This includes, but is not limited to, the below:
· Supervise union and independent building staff-members.
· Handle all aspects of hiring and progressive disciplinary action.
· Enforce building maintenance and operating policies.
· Oversee vacant unit apartment preparation.
· Ensure compliance with housing regulations and codes.
· Effectively manage all tenant issues and concerns.
· Negotiate vendor contracts.
· Coordinate repair and maintenance projects.
· Work collaboratively with other departments.
· Regular field visits to managed properties.
Qualifications:
· This candidate must have the following:
· Seven (7) years of full-time work experience in Residential Property Management, with a preference for experience in managing high-rise luxury rental buildings.
· Strong organizational, analytic, verbal, and written skills.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects independently to completion.
· Aptitude and knowledge of mechanical systems.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
· Additional skills and/or experience in personnel management, blueprint reading (architectural/mechanical), drafting & space planning, and project management are preferable.
· Undergraduate degree or higher.
