Senior Associate

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our client is in market for a Senior Associate to support the firm’s real estate advisory team. This position will
work directly with their Chief Financial Officer and Managing Director of Business Development. Day-to-day
tasks include:
• Asset management support of various investments and portfolio
• Interact with senior investment professionals; collaborate with the acquisition, asset management, finance
and outside partners
• Assist in maintaining, updating and creating fund models
• Produce frequent fund impact analysis factoring asset acquisitions, dispositions and investment scenarios
• Compile quarterly internal reporting materials, review business plans and asset management models and
coordinate team-follow-ups
• Coordinate and create materials/analysis for valuation
• Create external investor portfolio reports, presentations and other correspondence
• Support investor requests by providing timely information and reports
• Create, edit, and update compelling marketing materials (e.g., pitchbook presentations, private placement
memorandums, DDQs etc.)
• Track and actively monitor investments
• Maintain both internal and external facing investment summaries
• Contribute to the team’s data infrastructure improvement efforts through onboarding of external systems
and the expansion, maintenance and enhancement of in-place, proprietary tools

Our team is currently representing an elite, international boutique investment advisor that recently built out a
diversified commercial real estate advisory platform. Their team is composed of highly qualified, multi-disciplinary,
seasoned professionals who provide independent, objective and collaborative analysis within specific asset classes
and geographical expertise, partnering with outside advisors when necessary. Our client works across the
investment spectrum including single-asset acquisitions, closed-end private equity fund / REIT investments, lease
vs sale transactions, refinancing / recapitalizations, and portfolio-level transactions. The strategy includes
conducting extensive due diligence to manage risk, reduce overall cost and, where possible, increase operational
efficiencies. The team provides value-added advisory services to transactions and acquisition strategies, including
efficient ownership structuring, operations, and repositioning solutions within the context of clients’ real estate
portfolios and broader family balance sheets. The inclusion of real estate has complimented their core investment
strategy which has led to making investment recommendations across various real estate developments and
portfolios.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration
• 2-5 years of experience in finance roles within portfolio management, real estate and/or private equity
exposure a plus
• Candidates MUST have excellent analytical skills, be highly proficient in Excel modeling
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to interpret and evaluate financial data and metrics
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must be self-motivated, critical thinker, enthusiastic and inquisitive
• Works effectively in a fast-paced, deadline orientated, team environment and consistently demonstrates a
high level of organizational skill and customer service
• Fluency in Microsoft Office
• Expertise using Argus preferred and Yardi is a plus
