Our client is a privately held commercial real estate company focused on retail investment and development in the Northeast and beyond. The Company was founded in 1932, and now owns 1 million square feet of net lease and shopping center retail space in New England and New York.

Position Overview:

The Senior Leasing Manager will handle all activities related to the tenant procurement, retention and marketing of our retail portfolio located throughout New England and New York.

The ideal candidate has direct experience with various facets of retail focused leasing. This role will oversee market research, data aggregation, and analysis to support the company’s leasing and investment efforts. The leasing program is a blend of in-house direct to tenant leasing, as well as third-party leasing with outside commissioned brokers.


·       Full life-cycle management of all the in-house and third-party leasing efforts of the corporation, including: manage current and upcoming vacancy in the portfolio, improving existing tenant relationships with lease extensions, tenant retention, and marketing of assets. For new development and acquisition projects, managing the lease programming, third-party engagement, market research and life cycle of sourcing and closing the deal through occupancy. This responsibility will include coordination with Vice President, and Development Manager.

·       Primary contact for all functions of tenant procurement process starting with the prospect’s initial point of contact, showing of the unit, tenant screening, lease negotiation and preparation, and unit transfer.

·       Thoroughly review all tenant applications, business plans, and other documentation to solidify tenants’ qualifications.

·       Update and monitor real estate marketing and leasing platforms

·       Compete various administrative projects including preparing lease addendums, marketing space for lease, developing and updating contact lists, updating rent rolls, and Yardi integration.

·       Outreach to local brokerages and maintain broker relationships.

·       Monitor and track key tenant portfolio metrics throughout the portfolio.

·       A willingness and ability to travel approximately 20% of the time to attend showings for various properties as well as networking events (including areas of MA, CT, RI, NH, ME and NY).

·       Grow company network of retailers through various networking events and organizations.



·       Bachelor’s degree required.

·       Minimum of 5 years of experience in leasing of commercial retail real estate.

·       Solutions-oriented and have great problem-solving skills

·       Demonstrated track record of strategic thinking, process organization, tracking and reporting.

·       Experience with sourcing and making deals.

·       A high level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite, Adobe products.

·       Ability to multi-task and strong sense of organization skills.

·       Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·       Yardi experience a plus.
