Vice President – Industrial Acquisitions

Our client was founded in 2021 by an industry leader in the industrial sector in partnership with a leading real estate private equity group based in Boston. Our client’s founder previously held leadership roles at Link Logistics Real Estate, Blackstone's US industrial real estate operating platform, and gramercy property trust, a publicly traded industrial REIT. This high-growth platform is well positioned as an entrepreneurial, privately held real estate investment management firm, with the resources, infrastructure, and backing of a leading real estate private equity sponsor. To date, the platform has built a pipeline of comprising more than 15 million square feet of development across several top markets in the U.S., serving as a dedicated industrial partner of a leading real estate private equity group in the acquisition, development, and operation of high-quality industrial assets across a broad range of risk profiles and fund strategies.


Our client is seeking a Vice President of Industrial Acquisitions to serve as a market leader in their respective Northeast or Southeast region. The role will focus on day-to-day sourcing, acquisition, development, and asset management efforts within the region. The ideal candidate will have seven to twelve years of industrial experience within the region, including at a minimum, experience in acquisitions, development, and leasing.


·       Collaborate with senior management and leading real estate staff to develop market-specific strategies and identify opportunities across a number of markets within the respective Northeast or Southeast region

·       Assist in driving the national investment brand and strategy

·       Serve as a market leader and primary representative of the Firm within the region

·       Be the first point of contact with regional owners and developers, as well as investment sales, brokerage, and leasing community

·       Originate, underwrite, model, execute and manage industrial investments across multiple strategies and investment vehicles

·       Negotiate PSAs, broker agreements, financings, ground leases, etc.

·       Prepare underwriting and assist in the investment committee process

·       Possess an understanding of local and state entitlement pathways and be able to assess entitlement risk for ground-up and change of use development projects

·       Monitor the investment, development and leasing activities of competitors and other operators within the region

·       Prepare market research and maintain comprehensive lease and sale comp databases

·       Prepare ongoing portfolio and asset management reporting on investments within the region

·       Assist in reporting to internal stakeholders including LP reporting and marketing, accounting, and asset and property management

·       Understand how the local development environment as well as local construction costs may impact potential competing new supply

·       Help build out regional team as the portfolio and firm grows

·       Professionally and ethically serve as a representative of our client

·       7–12 years of experience networking, sourcing and underwriting value add industrial acquisition opportunities

·       Strong quantitative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office – Argus would be a plus

·       Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

·       Self-starter with the ability to learn quickly, work both independently and as a team member, and to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in an organized and efficient manner
