JOB DESCRIPTION

Role Overview:
The Analyst, Investments will provide analytical and qualitative support to senior investment team members in the pursuit of retail and office acquisitions. This role will support the evaluation of markets, contribute to the development of market-specific investment theses, create comprehensive deal materials, and assist in underwriting and executing investment opportunities across office and retail assets.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to navigate complex problems and apply critical thinking as they grow within the real estate investment platform.

Job Functions:

The Analyst, Investments is responsible for, including but not limited to, the following:

  • Support new business generation by assisting with the underwriting and execution of acquisition opportunities in collaboration with the Perform Investments team, regional market leads, and Blackstone investment professionals
  • Develop and support investment materials, including financial models, presentations, and investment memoranda that clearly articulate investment opportunities and associated risks
  • Analyze market and submarket dynamics by working with brokers and leasing teams to research trends, fundamentals, and comparable transactions
  • Assist in preparing acquisition capital budgets in coordination with asset management, development, operations, and regional teams
  • Contribute to market-level deep dives that support investment theses for both new and existing markets
  • Coordinate and support due diligence efforts through transaction closings

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field
  • 1-3 years of investment experience, preferably in investment banking, real estate, private equity, brokerage, or management consulting
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple concurrent projects under tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and organization, particularly with respect to deal materials and data management
  • Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to supporting investment decision-making
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; working knowledge of IRR, NPV, and core real estate metrics; ARGUS experience required
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to distill complex analyses into clear, concise investment memos and correspondence
  • Demonstrated professionalism, transparency, and a collaborative mindset
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Ability to work effectively with geographically dispersed teams across markets, including but not limited to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and Atlanta
  • Ability to travel on a quarterly basis

Salary: Compensation will be based on experience and include a bonus and benefits.
