Our client has committed in equity since its inception and manages $1.2 billion in gross assets, encompassing 5,600 units. Their product strategies include Hybrid Build-to-Rent (BTR), Urban Infill, and Urban & Suburban Garden developments, all aimed at providing high-quality, affordable housing options to middle-income households. Civicap's team comprises experienced professionals with deep expertise in real estate development and investment.

Position Overview:

Responsibilities:

  • Raise joint venture equity from high quality multifamily equity partners for new development projects
  • Develop and execute capital raising strategy aligned with growth and investment objectives
  • Negotiate joint venture equity partnership terms and final documentation
  • Oversee production of offering materials and manage investor due diligence processes
  • Serve as primary point of contact for project-level investors, providing regular updates on project progress,performance, and returns
  • Establish and maintain relationships with lenders, including banks, private debt lenders, and alternativefinancing sources and negotiate and close construction loans
  • Assess and manage debt levels and terms to ensure risk is managed appropriately and in keeping withleverage policies, in close cooperation with Civicap portfolio management and finance teams
  • Review of legal documents, including term sheets, loan agreements, partnership agreements, and offeringmemorandums
  • Collaborate closely with development, acquisitions, portfolio management, and finance
  • Support senior leadership in evaluating investment opportunities and strategic planning
  • Stay informed on market trends, newsworthy events in the multifamily market, and key factors impactingcapital markets

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Real Estate or related field
  • Preference for MBA or Masters degree with concentration in finance and/or real estate
  • 10+ years of experience in multifamily development, real estate finance, multifamily sales brokerage, orsimilar related area of real estate investment and management
  • Experience in closing multifamily equity transactions and construction loans
  • Ability to develop and maintain high-quality relationships with equity capital sources and lenders
  • Ability to independently manage numerous capitalizations and or financings simultaneously, includingoversight of junior team members and coordination with key team members
  • Experience with property-level accounting and ability to analyze property financial statements
  • Ability to work both independently and build consensus as part of a team
  • Desire to work in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Strong cultural fit
