Position Overview:
As the Human Resources Manager, our client is seeking an experienced, dynamic professional to lead and manage all human resources functions within our organization. This pivotal role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and collaborates closely with the firm’s Managing Directors. The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that support robust business goals, champion our unique culture, optimize employee engagement, and ensure comprehensive compliance with all employment laws. This position requires strong expertise in all HR generalist functions, talent management, and employee relations, and an ability to thrive within an entrepreneurial, high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic HR & Compliance: Develop, implement, and manage HR policies and procedures that align with business objectives and industry best practices. Proactively monitor legislative changes, such as those governed by the EEOC, and implement policy updates to ensure company-wide compliance with all applicable employment
- Talent Acquisition & Onboarding: Lead the full recruitment lifecycle in partnership with department heads, encompassing job postings, candidate screening, initial interviews, offers, and comprehensive onboarding processes designed for a fast-paced organization.
- Compensation & Benefits Administration: Manage and administer employee compensation structures to ensure competitive pay rates and regulatory compliance. Oversee all benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans (401k), and employee perks, promoting workforce satisfaction and retention.
- Performance Management & Development: Manage end-to-end performance management processes, including performance reviews, objective goal setting, and professional development plans that support career growth within our dynamic structure.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve employee concerns promptly. Provide objective guidance and support during workplace conflicts, maintaining strict neutrality while facilitating constructive resolutions that uphold our collegial environment.
- Strategic Partnership & Workforce Planning: Partner with leadership to execute strategic HR projects across the company. Track and analyze organizational charts, job descriptions, and employee turnover data to support proactive workforce planning.
- Operational Oversight: Lead the administrative team, including oversight of day-to-day corporate office operations/logistics, vendor management, and corporate budget and invoice approval processes.
- Offboarding: Manage the offboarding process, including coordination of exit interviews, final pay, benefits administration compliance with wage and employment laws, and partnering with IT for smooth transitions.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, confidential employee records, including payroll and benefits enrollment documentation.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5–10 years of progressive Human Resources experience, with exposure to all core HR functions and a track record of thriving in an entrepreneurial or fast-paced setting.
- Industry Experience (Preferred): Experience within the real estate sector is preferred.
- Certifications: Human Resources certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR) are a plus.
Skills & Knowledge:
- In-depth knowledge of HR practices and comprehensive compliance frameworks.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and decision-making skills required for a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, organizational skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to handle highly sensitive information with the utmost discretion and professionalism.
- Proficiency with various HR and payroll systems, including but not limited to Paychex, Expense Wire, 401k administration platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
