Position Overview:
Demonstrate command of all aspects of asset management by applying operational expertise towards the maximization of investment returns and growth of the business. Communicate clearly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders
Responsibilities:
- Strategic & Operational Oversight
- Oversee third-party management teams across markets and product types to ensure exceptional quality of asset operations, leasing, maintenance, reporting, and capital improvement projects when appropriate, in alignment with the firm’s strategy and operational excellence.
- Focus on continuously improving asset NOI and overall asset value in the marketplace.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide data-driven insights to guide leasing, asset management, underwriting, and acquisitions.
- Demonstrate expertise in multifamily asset management, covering all aspects from physical operations to financial performance.
- Financial & Budget Management
- Monitor property-level operating expense statements, budgets, and financial reporting to identify risks and opportunities as well as enable accurate reporting and forecasting.
- Refine and automate reporting procedures to provide strategic insights and drive efficiency.
- Implement best practices to improve operational effectiveness, leveraging technology and system enhancements.
- Leasing & Market Strategy
- Collaborate with a range of stakeholders to manage the lease-up of large multifamily assets in gateway markets.
- Stay apprised of multifamily market trends and competitive properties to better inform asset strategies and market positioning for the portfolio.
- Partner with marketing teams to drive demand, enhance brand positioning, and maximize leasing performance.
- Capital Planning & Asset Value Enhancement
- Evaluate, propose, and monitor the strategic capital expenditure plans in collaborating with property, asset, and portfolio management teams to enhance asset value.
- Collaborate with property, asset, and portfolio management teams on capital projects and long-term reinvestment strategies.
- Maximize property values through operational efficiencies and strategic improvements.
- Stakeholder Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the key liaison between property management and ownership, ensuring transparency and alignment.
- Provide executive-level reports on asset performance, challenges, and opportunities.
- Contribute to quarterly reports, annual business plans, and budget development.
- Acquisition & Transaction Contributions
- Participate in the acquisition and development process by conducting regional and sub-market research.
- Advise on underwritten financial assumptions to support investment/acquisition decisions.
- Interface with senior management, lenders, appraisers, brokers, and third parties regarding asset and market performance.

- Work collaboratively with various stakeholders to deliver on identified strategies for the portfolio of assets.

Experience:
We have an opportunity for a well-rounded, experienced Senior Asset Manager whose current or prior responsibilities have included managing of third-party property management teams, including direct management of equity investments in multi-family assets.
The preferred candidate will have 7 years or more of experience and with experience leading the lease-up of large multifamily developments in gateway markets as well as stabilized properties.
